1.     Check and update all your drivers, operating system is up to date and run a virus scan. This can affect your computers performance.

2     If you have more than one hard drive on your computer this can cause the computer to slow down. This is because windows will constantly be accessing the other hard drives in search of files. To solve this you will have to move the most used files to the primary hard drive. This can be done by right clicking "my computer" –> "properties" –> "advanced" –> "disk settings" –> Highlight the other hard drive –> Click "move" –> "OK".

3     If you have a lot of programs/files stored in the quick launch bar on your taskbar, it can slow down your computer when you open it up.
