should i upgrade my motherboard
If you are completely comfortable troubleshooting computers and the PC you are working on is not mission critical, then it makes sense to replace the motherboard. Note that this will most likely be more expensive than replacing other parts and it may require you to reinstall your OS from scratch as well. That being said, if your OS is already installed, and you want to try to salvage your hard drive or other components anyway, you might as well at least try replacing the motherboard first. You might even get lucky and fix the computer that way.
