do i have enough ram
This is one of the most common questions asked in our computing forums. What do they mean by "enough"? For example, Ram is memory that your Mac uses to store information that you are working with. Lets look at a simple example.
You are working on a page in Pages and you have a photo open and you also have a spreadsheet open. As you edit the page in Pages all the changes are being written to your computer's Ram memory. When you save those changes, the operating system needs to write those changes back to your hard drive so when you open the file again later everything is as it was when you saved it. The reason this is important is that your computer can only write or read one thing at a time. If you were to open another document, your Mac would have to stop writing and reading in order to process that request.
